Resource Classification by Asteroid Type

💧

Type C: Carbonaceous

Rich in carbon, water, and organic compounds. They are the primary targets for obtaining water and producing rocket fuel.

🔩

Type S: Siliceous

Composed of iron and magnesium silicates. Ideal for mining metals such as iron, nickel, and cobalt for in-space construction.

🧊

Type D: Primitive

Rich in organic silicates, carbon, and potentially water ice. Excellent candidates for extracting volatiles for fuel.

Candidate Overview: Water & Fuel

These C-type and D-type asteroids are the most promising for establishing refueling operations. The selected asteroid is highlighted in orange.

Overall Potential Proportion

Of the 20 asteroids analyzed, a quarter show medium or high potential, making them priority targets.

Candidate Overview: Metals

S-type asteroids are rich in metals. Their high density suggests valuable concentrations. The selected asteroid is highlighted in blue.
